Caritas Switzerland is in favour of policies that take account of socially disadvantaged people at home and abroad. We are committed to this with well-founded analyses, clear statements, concrete proposals and work on solutions that bring us closer to a society based on solidarity.

When people live at the subsistence level, they fall through the gaps in the social security net. They have too little money to live on but receive no public assistance.

Caritas Switzerland represented 9'565 asylum seekers in federal asylum centres in 2023. 1'905 of them were minors.
