Symposium 2023 - Climate Change and Migration

Implications, Challenges and Opportunities for Action

Caritas Switzerland is organizing a symposium on climate change and migration on 16 October 2023 in Berne, Switzerland. The one-day event provides an opportunity for an engaging dialogue on the challenges, opportunities and visions of different stakeholders working on climate change and migration.

Based on scientific insights on possible climate scenarios, the symposium explores implications on future migration and opportunities for action. Participants will include Swiss and international NGO practitioners, representatives of donor organizations, scientific institutes and the private sector. The event language is English.

The event provided an excellent opportunity for an engaging dialogue on the challenges, opportunities and visions of different stakeholders working on climate change and migration. Based on scientific insights on possible climate scenarios, implications on future migration and opportunities for action were explored.
